A flood advisory has been issued this morning (Sunday, March 20) by the National Weather Service for Los Angeles County until 10:45 p.m. today, March 20. This is in addition to a flash flood advisory for areas of recent fires.
At 10:45 a.m. Doppler Radar indicated moderate to locally heavy rainfall moving into Western Los Angeles County with rainfall rates ranging from .25 to .5 inches per hour and expected to increase this afternoon and evening to as much as one-inch per hour.
Roadway and small stream flooding will be increasing across the County later today, with increased liklihood of rock slides and mudslides on roadways. Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway as water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely.
