Fire Department Weekly Report - week of October 5 – 11, 2025

The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of October 5 – 11, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types
recorded for this period:

Sunday, October 5
At 7:17 a.m., Truck 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, and Battalion 105 responded to the
9000 block of Woodruff Avenue in Temple City to assist Los Angeles County Fire
Department with a reported appliance fire. Upon arrival, fire personnel were
assigned to ventilation group and secure utilities. Once the fire was knocked down,
Arcadia personnel were released from the incident.
Monday, October 6
At 7:32 p.m., Engine 106 and Truck 105 responded to a report of people trapped
inside an elevator in the 400 block of South Baldwin Avenue. Upon arrival, fire
personnel found the stalled elevator with two occupants inside. Fire personnel
attempted to gain access to the elevator car without damage with no success. As a
result, the elevator doors were forced open using hydraulic tools. Both occupants did
not require medical attention and were released on scene. The elevator car was
placed out-of-service, and the property management company was notified.
Tuesday, October 7
At 4:09 p.m., Engine 106 responded to a report of a child locked inside a vehicle in
the 1100 block of Okoboji Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel used a lockout kit to
safely gain access to the child. The child was reunited with the mother.
Wednesday, October 8
At 11:05 p.m., Engine 107, Truck 32, Battalion 105, and units from Sierra Madre Fire
Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 100 block of Sierra Madre
Boulevard. Upon arrival, fire personnel located an electrical fire in an apartment
within a center-hallway complex, secured the breaker, and isolated power to the
affected outlet. The fire was contained to the area of origin, and a blower was utilized
to remove the smoke from the structure.
Thursday, October 9
At 1:01 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident
in the 2300 block of South Second Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 77-
year-old female experiencing an altered level of consciousness. The patient received
a 12-lead electrocardiogram (EKG), intravenous therapy, and was transported to USC
Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Friday, October 10
At 1:57 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to the 400 block of
South Baldwin Avenue for a reported person down. Fire personnel arrived and found
a 43-year-old male down after being struck by a car in a parking lot. The patient
received intravenous access, cardiac monitoring, blood glucose testing, medications,
and was transported to Huntington Hospital for further treatment.Saturday,
October 11
At 8:33 a.m., Engine 106, Rescue Ambulance 106, BLS 106, Truck 105, and Battalion
105 responded to a traffic collision on the westbound 210 Freeway at Santa Anita
Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found two patients with complaints consistent
with multi-system trauma. Both patients received full trauma evaluations, 12-lead
EKG, intravenous therapy, and were transported to Huntington Hospital for further
treatment.
