The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of April 5 – 11, 2026. The following is a breakdown of incident categories
recorded for this period:

Sunday, April 5
At 5:02 p.m., Engine 106, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a
medical incident in the 700 block of Camino Real Avenue. Fire personnel arrived and
found a 90-year-old female with a chief complaint of difficulty breathing. The patient
received a 12-lead electrocardiogram (EKG), oxygen and intravenous therapies, and
was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further care.
Monday, April 6
At 10:14 a.m., Engine 106, Truck 105, Battalion 105,

and units from multiple fire agencies responded to a
report of a structure fire in the 300 block of Beverly
Boulevard in Montebello. The fire was in Adventist
Hospital which forced evacuation of patients from the
building. The evacuation resulted in the need to triage,
treat, and transport approximately 40 patients. Engine
106 was assigned to the key role as MEDCOM in this
process and coordinated transport locations for all the
patients to surrounding hospitals based on their
availability. Fire personnel successfully extinguished
the fire, completed transport of the affected patients,
and assisted with the re-population of the hospital.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Tuesday, April 7
At 3:48 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to the 600 block of
Duarte Road. Fire personnel arrived and found an 82-year-old female that appeared
to be suffering from an overdose. The patient received a 12-lead EKG, blood glucose
testing, intravenous therapy, and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further
care.
Wednesday, April 8
At 4:30 p.m., Engine 106 responded to a reported

outdoor fire in the 1800 block of Baldwin Avenue.
Fire personnel arrived and found a vegetation fire in the center median. The fire was quickly
extinguished using one hose line and contained to the area of origin. No injuries occurred during this incident.
Thursday, April 9
At 8:05 p.m., Engine 106, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a
medical incident in the 800 block of Fairview Avenue. Fire personnel arrived and
found a 76-year-old male exhibiting stroke symptoms. The patient received a 12-lead EKG, blood glucose check, intravenous therapy, and was transported to USC Arcadia
Hospital for further care.
Friday, April 10
At 12:45 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical
incident in the 600 block of Duarte Road. Fire personnel arrived and found a 71-year-
old female with a complaint of difficulty breathing and a low heart rate. The patient
received a 12-lead EKG, intravenous therapy, oxygen via a bag-valve-mask (BVM), and
was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further care.
Saturday, April 11
At 5:06 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident
at the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Longden Avenue. Fire personnel arrived and
found a 43-year-old male with a chief complaint of head trauma and an altered level
of consciousness after a fall from an electric scooter. The patient received a full
trauma evaluation, secondary assessment, EKG, intravenous therapy, and was
transported to Huntington Hospital for further care.
