The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of September 22 – September 28, 2019. The following is a breakdown of incident types recorded for this time period:

Sunday, September 22nd At 12:52 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a traffic collision with injuries in the 200 block of West Huntington Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 48-year-old intoxicated male with head and facial trauma after being assaulted by the driver of the vehicle he collided into. Paramedics provided advanced life support measures on scene including blood glucose level monitoring and intravenous access. The patient was transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital for further evaluation and treatment. Arcadia Police responded for incident investigation. Monday, September 23rd At 11:57 a.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical call in the 400 block of West Huntington Drive. Fire crews arrived to find an 87-year-old female in an altered level of consciousness. Paramedics assessed the patient and provided advanced life support measures on scene including 12-lead cardiac monitoring, intravenous therapy, and blood glucose level monitoring. The patient was transported to Methodist Hospital of Southern California for further evaluation and treatment. Tuesday, September 24th At 5:47 p.m., Engine 105 and San Marino Rescue Ambulance 91 responded to a medical assist in the 1100 block of South Fifth Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel evaluated an elderly patient experiencing general weakness and dizziness. Paramedics provided advanced life support measures on scene including 12-lead cardiac monitoring and blood glucose level monitoring. The patient was transported to Methodist Hospital of Southern California for further evaluation and treatment. Wednesday, September 25th At 9:18 a.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical call in the 200 block of East Live Oak Avenue. Fire crews arrived to find a 42-year-old female experiencing a sudden onset of overall weakness. Paramedics provided advanced life support measures on scene including 12-lead cardiac monitoring, intravenous access, and blood glucose level monitoring. The patient was transported to Methodist Hospital of Southern California for further evaluation and treatment. Thursday, September 26th At 6:15 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical assist in the 100 block of East Huntington Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel evaluated a 90- year-old female exhibiting stroke-like symptoms. Paramedics provided advanced life support measures on scene including 12-lead cardiac monitoring, intravenous access, and blood glucose level monitoring. The patient was transported to Methodist Hospital of Southern California for further evaluation and treatment.
