Corn Toss Tourney Aug. 21

The third annual Corn Toss Tournament by Stubbies Promotions is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at RJ Collins Coliseum, 205 N. Second Ave.

Among the prizes is a chance to win two Park Hopper tickets to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure for as little as $5.00 in the Impossible Toss Challenge — a value of more than $200.

Proceeds supporting The Boys and Girls Club of the Foothills.

Bring your own chairs and watch the competition in which team players take turns tossing bean bags underhand onto wooden boxes and into a hole in the box.

Cost is $15.00 per player/non-player; registration must be turned in by August 13th. Non-guaranteed registration after Aug. 13 is $25.

Tournament organizers are looking for sponsors — $30, $50, $100 levels available — and donations for raffle prizes. The Boys and Girls Club of the Foothills’ mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. It has been serving Monrovia and surrounding communities since 1993 with comprehensive programming including homework assistance , tutoring, leadership training, technology, creative arts, writing, and an extensive recreation and sports program.
