mornings when local historians will share new, original research on the history of
Arcadia!
On Saturday, October 21 at 10 a.m., local historian Daniel Hennessy will talk about
“Arcadia in 1927 and the Police Officer Murder that July,”
the story—and the history—
surrounding the death of Arcadia police Officer Albert E. Matthies – the only department
officer ever slain in the line of duty.
