Chocolate: The Heart of Valentine’s Day

Have you ever wondered why chocolate became an integral part of Valentine’s Day? Come to the Gilb Museum of Arcadia Heritage for a sweet morning full of the history and flavors of CHOCOLATE! What better way to start the weekend? This free and educational event for families is a drop-in program on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until noon.

In the afternoon, why not drop in and see a fascinating exhibit “Only What We Could Carry: The 75th Anniversary of the Santa Anita Japanese Assembly Center”. This temporary exhibit presents images and stories from and about those who were interred during this difficult time in American and California history and will run through April 1, 2017.

Huntington Drive. The Gilb Museum of Arcadia Heritage is located at 380 W. Huntington Drive, immediately behind the Community Center. The Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (closed 12-1). Admission is always free.
