Candidates to question each other

Tuesday’s Council Candidate forum promises to deliver several unique elements for candidates and attendees, including the rare opportunity for candidates to ask any question of one of their opponents in front of  the audience.

The forum sponsored by the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce, the Arcadia Association of REALTORS, the Arcadia Woman’s Club, and Arcadia Weekly will be held at 7 p.m. March 23 at the Arcadia Woman’s Club, 324 S. First Ave.

All six candidates for three seats up for grabs in the April 13 General Election will attend and begin by using three minutes to introduce themselves and present answers in any way they wish to three questions sent to them in advance — Powerpoint, video, easel, verbal, etc..

This forum moderated by Arcadia Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Forum co-chairman Scott Hettrick will be focused primarily on local business issues, is free and open to the public.

After the introductory three-minutes and the questions amongst each other, candidates will be asked questions they have not seen before by the moderator.

Time will also be permitted for pre-screened questions from the audience read by forum officials.
