Baldwin/Colorado Well

After several years of work that began a couple years ago with a giant green wall in the area between Baldwin Ave. and the ramp to the Colorado Blvd. bridge (see video below), a project to install a new well and appurtenant structure has been completed.

It’s one of many City improvement projects underway right now that can be seen by clicking the index of Arcadia’s Best stories in the category of “Getting Around.” (Story and photos continue below the following video.)

Deputy Director of Development Services Phil Wray said that because of the extent of the land disturbed for this project, the City included a comprehensive re-landscaping project for both the southwest and southeast quadrants.

The landscaping project incorporates drought tolerant plant materials and hardscape materials like river rock and decomposed granite to provide a low cost, low maintenance alternative that is reasonably attractive.
