Arrest of Interest


On November 1, 2022, at 12:29 PM a robbery occurred at The Shops at Santa Anita, 400 S.

Baldwin Avenue. While the victim was sitting in her parked vehicle, a male suspect entered her

vehicle. The suspect struck the victim’s face and body with his fists, grabbed the victim’s handbag from her lap, and fled the location in a black BMW sedan. The suspect and suspect vehicle description was similar to other incidents of purse thefts in Arcadia.


During the investigation, Arcadia Police Detectives obtained information on a possible suspect

vehicle. On November 1, 2022, at 2:38 PM, Detectives located the suspect vehicle in the parking area of the Shops at Santa Anita. Arcadia Police Detectives conducted surveillance on a black BMW sedan, which matched the suspect vehicle description. A traffic stop was conducted on the black BMW and the two occupants were contacted. The occupants were in possession of stolen property from the earlier reported robbery. Based on the statements, evidence, and

investigation, the two occupants were taken into custody for robbery. As a result of the

investigation, it appears the two suspects were possibly involved in previous purse thefts in the

city of Arcadia.
