Armed Robbery

On August 15, 2017, at approximately 9:59 PM, the Arcadia Police Department received a call of a robbery that took place in the alley in the 00 block of East Huntington Drive. The victims were confronted by the suspect, who pointed a handgun at them while demanding money. The victims gave the suspect money and the suspect fled in a northwestern direction. Both of the victims were adults.
During the investigation, Arcadia Police Officers found a person matching the description of the robbery suspect, walking to the rear of 10 E. Huntington Drive. The person was detained and found to be unarmed. The person was identified as being involved in the robbery and was arrested. A pellet type handgun was located in some bushes near where the robbery took place and it was believed to be the weapon used during the robbery.
The suspect was identified as Heybin Aneli Perez-Martinez, a 25 year old transient, booking number 5072917. Perez-Martinez is currently being held on $125,000 bail in the Arcadia City Jail.
