Arcadia Veterans Local History Room

Come see the permanent yet ever-evolving exhibit and showcase of memorbilia and stories of Arcadia military veterans of American wars dating as far back as World War I and as recently as the Iraq war. The Ruth and Charles Gilb Historical Museum in Arcadia, under the direction of museum Curator Dana Dunn, has dedicated an Arcadia Veterans Local History Room in the Warren and Mildred Shaw gallery of the Arcadia Historical Museum, 380 W. Huntington Dr. Click below to see a short video interview with Gene Glasco, one of the first featured veterans, describing his exhibit. The establishment of this military veteran exhibit is to pay tribute to local Arcadia veterans who have served in our country’s Armed Forces, and features many interesting military artifacts from the museum’s permanent collection. Arcadia wants its Veterans to know that they are appreciated for their dedication and sacrifice. Highlighted within the exhibit are personal memorabilia of local veterans that share the spotlight on a continuing and rotational basis throughout the year.
