Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity Report - Sunday, November 20th through Saturday, November

For the period of Sunday, November 20th through Saturday, November 26th, the Police Department responded to 754 calls for service, of which 84 required formal investigations. The following is a summary report of some of the major incidents handled by the Department during this period.
Sunday, November 20:
At 9:57 a.m., An officer responded to the parking structure of 24 Hour Fitness located at 125 North First Avenue in regard to a vehicle burglary and identity theft report. The victim discovered sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 9:57 p.m., someone broke into his vehicle, stole credit cards and cash, and attempted to use the credit cards.
At 11:59 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 100 block of Loralyn Drive regarding a mail theft report. Surveillance footage captured the suspect, an adult male with dark clothing and a medium build pry open the mail box and flee with stolen mail. The suspect fled on foot westbound on Loralyn Drive.
Monday, November 21:
3. At 1:29 p.m., an officer responded to StorAmerica, located at 5630 Peck Road, regarding a commercial burglary. An investigation revealed a total of 6 storage units had been forcefully broken into and the loss is undetermined at the time of this report. The crimes occurred between November 19th and November 21st.
4. At 5:33 p.m., an officer responded to 7 Eleven, located at 1003 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a battery report. The officer discovered the suspect, who has previous issues with the business, entered the location and punched the store clerk multiple times for no apparent reason. The suspect, a 23-year-old male from Monrovia, fled the scene before the officer arrived.
Tuesday, November 22:
5. At 2:33 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Ewell Lane regarding a burglary report. An investigation revealed the suspects entered the home through a rear window and when they were confronted by the victim, they fled empty-handed.
6. At 2:51 p.m., an officer responded to LensCrafters, located at 400 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a grand theft incident. The officer discovered an unidentified male suspect stole more than $2,600.00 worth of merchandise from the store. The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a long sleeve black undershirt with a grey t-shirt over it.
Wednesday, November 23:
7. At 1:47 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 400 block of West Lemon Avenue regarding a burglary report. The officer determined an unknown suspect entered the home by smashing the living room window and ransacked the location before fleeing with an unknown amount of property.
8. At 8:17 p.m., an officer responded to Macy’s, located at 400 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a grand theft report. The employee stated a male suspect stole two watches. He is described as a Hispanic male, mid to late 30’s, 6’1” tall, approximately 240 pounds, and wearing a red shirt and khaki pants.
Thursday, November 24:
9. At 4:52 a.m., officer responded to Tokyo Wako, located at 401 East Huntington Drive, regarding a burglary alarm activation. Surveillance footage revealed two suspects pried open one of the doors and ransacked the manager’s office. They fled with cash. The suspects are described as 5’7” male with a medium build and a 6’ tall male with a large build.
10. At 6:55 a.m., officers responded to 7 Eleven, located at 1003 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding an attempted homicide investigation. Officers discovered the same suspect from the battery on November 21st returned to the location but ultimately drove his vehicle into the business in an attempt to run over two 7 Eleven clerks. The 23-year-old male from Monrovia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Friday, November 25:
11. At 2:30 p.m., an officer responded to the 900 block of West Duarte Road regarding a stolen vehicle report. Sometime during the previous night, someone stole the victim’s Hyundai Tucson.
12. At 11:00 p.m., an officer responded to the parking lot of The Shops at Santa Anita, located at 400 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a theft from vehicle report. The victim discovered someone had stolen the victim’s catalytic converter from his Honda Accord between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Saturday, November 26:
13. At 9:24 a.m., an officer responded to the 100 block of El Dorado Street regarding a vandalism report. The officer discovered someone had smashed the rear window of the victim’s vehicle. It does not appear as though anything was stolen.
14. At 1:42 p.m., an officer responded to the 400 block of West Lemon Avenue regarding a theft from vehicle report. Sometime between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., someone entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole his wallet and credit cards.
