Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity Report - Sunday, January 30th through Saturday, February 5

For the period of Sunday, January 30th through Saturday, February 5th, the Police Department responded to 849 calls for service, of which 93 required formal investigations. The following is a summary report of some of the major incidents handled by the Department during this period.
Sunday, January 30:
At 3:28 a.m., an officer responded to the 100 block of West Naomi Avenue regarding a theft from vehicle incident. Surveillance footage captured the unidentified suspect entering the victim’s unlocked vehicle and fleeing with cash and documents. The suspect was wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt and jeans. The investigation is ongoing.
At 4:09 p.m., an officer responded to an apartment complex in the 00 block of East Colorado Boulevard regarding a mail theft and tampering report. Sometime between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on January 29th, someone tampered with the victim’s mailbox and stole mail. The suspect used a pry tool to enter the mailbox.
Monday, January 31:
3. At 11:17 a.m., an officer responded a residence in the 1300 block of Mayflower Avenue regarding a vandalism report. The home was being fumigated when unknown suspect(s) smashed a window. It does not appear as thought the suspects entered. No loss was reported.
4. At 6:10 p.m., an officer took a theft from vehicle report that occurred in the parking lot of LA Fitness, located at 1325 South Baldwin Avenue. The officer discovered someone stole the victim’s car keys while he was working out, used the keys to enter the victim’s vehicle, and stole the victim’s cash but left the car keys inside the car. No suspects were seen.
Tuesday, February 1:
5. At 12:40 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 500 block of West Winnie Way regarding a vandalism report. The victim heard a loud bang and discovered someone had thrown an egg at her window, causing it to break.
6. At 1:06 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1000 block of South Tenth Avenue regarding a battery report. An investigation revealed an altercation turned physical between a couple resulting in one of the parties scratching and hitting the other. The victim declined medical attention for her minor injuries. The suspect, a 34-year-old female from Arcadia, was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
7. At 11:27 p.m., an officer responded to Arcadia Methodist Hospital, located at 300 West Huntington Drive, regarding a battery report. The victim, an employee, was punched in the face by a patient while trying to administer care. The investigation is ongoing.
Wednesday, February 2:
8. At 8:10 a.m., an officer took a report of a commercial burglary that occurred at Meet Fresh, located at 400 South Baldwin Avenue. The victim stated someone stole her purse from her locker while she was at work. Surveillance footage revealed the suspect is a male, possibly Hispanic, with a medium build, approximately 5’5” tall, and wearing dark colored pants and jacket. The investigation is ongoing.
9. At 4:24 p.m., an officer responded to the Arcadia Police Department front counter to take a fraud report. The officer determined the victim was lured into investing in a fraudulent investment company by the unidentified suspect. The suspect initially gained the victim’s trust by befriending him on WeChat.
Thursday, February 3:
10. At 9:50 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 2600 block of Warren Way regarding a burglary report. The victim was home when he heard a loud noise. When he went to inquire about the sound, he discovered someone had broken his window screen and opened his window. After checking his surveillance camera footage, he determined the suspects were two Black males, both approximately 30-years-old, seen wearing black hooded sweatshirts and pants. The investigation is ongoing.
11. At 11:20 a.m., an officer responded to the 300 block of El Dorado Street regarding a fraud report. The victim discovered two fraudulent transactions on his bank statement. He does not know how the suspect obtained his account information or the identity of the suspect.
Friday, February 4:
12. At 1:23 a.m., an officer responded to the intersection of Second Avenue and Colorado Boulevard regarding an aggravated assault. An investigation revealed a boyfriend threw an unknown object at the victim resulting in a 3” laceration. The suspect, a 56-year-old male transient from Mira Loma is outstanding as of the release of this report.
13. At 7:44 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 300 block of West Lemon Avenue regarding a package theft report. Surveillance footage captured the suspect stealing the victim’s package from her porch. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male wearing a silver and black Raiders hat, a dark blue button up shirt, dark blue jeans, and a black bandana covering his face.
Saturday, February 5: 14. At 10:32 a.m., an officer responded to 7-Eleven, located at 102 East Huntington Drive, regarding a trespassing report. The suspect was arrested for trespassing multiple times at the location. The 21-year-old local male transient was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
