Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity Report -September 19th through September 2

For the period of Sunday, September 19th through Saturday, September 25th, the Police Department responded to 1,209 calls for service, of which 126 required formal investigations. The following is a summary report of some of the major incidents handled by the Department during this period.
Sunday, September 19:
At 6:35 a.m., an officer responded to the Arcadia Police Department front counter regarding a robbery that occurred outside of the victim’s residence in the 1000 block of South 8th Avenue. The victim stated he returned home after visiting a local casino when he was approached by the suspect and robbed at gunpoint. Through an investigation, the suspects were identified as a 31-year-old male from Compton and a 28-year-old female from Los Angeles. They were arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At 6:19 a.m., an officer responded to Ann Karen Day Spa, located at 1215 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a commercial burglary report. Surveillance footage revealed an unknown suspect smashed the front glass door with a wrench. Once inside, the suspect threw rocks at the register monitors and fled with pictures. The suspect is described as a male, approximately 25 to 40-years-old, 5’10” tall, 185 pounds, light complexion, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue bandana face covering, a white shirt, black pants, and white sneakers.
Monday, September 20:
3. At 6:44 a.m., an officer responded to the 1200 block of Rodeo Road regarding a restraining order violation call. The officer discovered the suspect, the 23-year-old ex-girlfriend of the victim, had damaged a residential fence. The suspect drove by while the officer was investigating and when additional officers attempted to contact her, she failed to yield and fled on the 210 freeway.
4. At 10:52 a.m., an officer responded to the 400 block of Walnut Avenue regarding a battery report. The investigation revealed the suspect punched his father and then attempted to punch the arresting officer. The suspect, a 21-year-old male from Arcadia, was determined to be a danger to others and was transported to Charter Oaks Hospital for a mental health evaluation.
Tuesday, September 21:
5. At 1:19 a.m., an officer responded to the 2000 block of Peck Road, in the city of Monrovia, regarding a battery report. The victim stated she offered the suspect, her intoxicated coworker, a ride home when the suspect punched her in the face multiple times. The suspect fled on foot and the victim declined medical attention.
6. At 2:44 p.m., an officer responded to Residence Inn, located at 321 East Huntington Drive, regarding a battery report. The officer determined the suspect battered his girlfriend, stole her money, threatened her with a knife, damaged the hotel television, and fled before officers arrived. The victim refused to give the identity of her boyfriend, but the suspect is described as a 40 to 50-year-old male. The victim declined medical attention.
Wednesday, September 22:
7. At 12:27 p.m., an officer responded to the 100 block of West Magna Vista Avenue regarding a vehicle burglary report. Sometime between Tuesday, September 21st at 7:30 p.m. and 12:20 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22nd, someone smashed the victim’s window and fled with paperwork and an antique lamp.
8. At 3:44 p.m., an officer responded to Nordstrom, located at 400 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a grand theft report. Surveillance footage captured two suspects stealing designer scarves and beanies. They are both described as Hispanic males between the ages of 18 and 20-years-old, with thin builds.
Thursday, September 23: 9. At 8:43 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 100 block of West Lemon Avenue regarding a stolen vehicle report. Sometime between 5:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on September 23rd, unknown suspects stole the victim’s 2007 Mercedes 550 sedan.
10. At 4:28 p.m., an officer responded to Victoria’s Secret, located at 400 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a grand theft report. An investigation revealed three suspects worked in concert to steal nearly $1,800.00 worth of merchandise. The suspects are described as three Hispanic females.
Friday, September 24:
11. At 11:49 a.m., an officer responded to Victoria’s Secret, located at 400 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a shoplifting report. Surveillance footage revealed two suspects stole numerous PINK shirts and six bottles of body spray. The reported loss was $635.20. The suspects are described as a Hispanic male wearing a black hat, shirt and shorts, and suspect #2 was described as a Hispanic male with brown hair and seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes.
12. At 5:19 p.m., an officer responded to Starbucks, located at 5 West Live Oak Avenue, regarding a report of a vandalism and battery. The officer discovered the suspect kicked the victim’s car and grabbed her by the arm. The suspect is described as a White male between the ages of 30 and 40-years-old, 6’ tall, 200 pounds, and with a large build.
Saturday, September 25:
13. At 10:56 a.m., an officer responded to an apartment complex in the 900 block of South Golden West Avenue regarding a package theft report. The victim discovered his packages had been stolen from his porch sometime between 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on September 23rd.
14. At 11:04 a.m., an officer responded to the 1000 block of West Foothill Boulevard regarding a series of vehicle burglary reports. The officer concluded an unknown suspect entered three unlocked vehicles during the morning hours of September 25th.
