Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity Report- June 5th to June 11th, 2022


For the period of Sunday, June 5th through Saturday, June 11th, the Police Department responded to 891 calls for service, of which 106 required formal investigations. The following is a summary report of some of the major incidents handled by the Department during this period.

Sunday, June 5:

  1. At 2:21 p.m., an officer responded to former Coco’s Bakery building, located at 1150 West Colorado Boulevard, regarding a burglary report. The reporting party discovered someone had forced open a rear door sometime between June 1st and June 4th. It does not appear anything was stolen.

  2. At 3:32 p.m., an officer responded to the intersection of Huntington Drive and La Cadena Avenue regarding a battery report. An investigation revealed a wife hit her husband on the chest during an argument and was subsequently arrested for Battery. The 19-year-old female was transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Monday, June 6: 3. At 6:39 a.m., an officer responded to the Arcadia Police Department regarding a vandalism involving a police vehicle. The officer concluded someone threw two rocks over a wall securing the police department parking lot and damaged one of the vehicles. The incident occurred between June 3rd and June 6th.

4. At 1:51 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 100 block of La Porte Street regarding a burglary report. Sometime during the weekend, unknown suspect(s) smashed a side window and entered the location. It appeared as thought two suspects had been living inside the vacant home. A stolen vehicle was also recovered. The suspects are outstanding as of June 14th.

Tuesday, June 7:

5. At 12:09 a.m., an officer responded to Ralphs, located at 211 East Foothill Boulevard, regarding a theft report. The officer determined two suspects stole various cleaning supplies. They fled in a black Volvo sedan. The suspects are described as a Black male, a Black female, and a White male. They fled westbound on Foothill Boulevard.


6. At 12:57 p.m., an officer responded a residence in the 700 block of East Norman Ave regarding a theft from vehicle report. The victim discovered his catalytic converter had been stolen from his Toyota Prius sometime between May 25th and June 1st.


Wednesday, June 8:

7. At 3:53 p.m., an officer responded to the parking lot of Westfield Santa Anita, located at 400 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a theft report. An investigation revealed an unidentified suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and fled with a tool belt and miscellaneous items. The crime occurred sometime between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.


8. At 6:08 p.m., an officer responded to Nordstrom, located at 400 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a theft incident. The suspect was seen concealing various articles of clothing when he was confronted by Loss Prevention. The suspect, a 32-year-old male from Los Angeles, was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. During the booking process, the officer discovered the suspect provided a false name. A search of his real name revealed he had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.


Thursday, June 9:

9. At 1:48 a.m., an officer responded to the 500 block of East Longden Avenue regarding a traffic collision. Upon contacting the driver, the officer detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his person. While talking to the suspect, he grew combative and walked away. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. During the booking process, it was discovered that the suspect had a container of methamphetamine in his shoe. A records check also revealed he was driving without a license.


10. At 3:06 p.m., an officer responded to the 100 block of East Huntington Drive regarding a theft from vehicle. The victim stated an unknown suspect entered her unlocked vehicle between 4:45 a.m. and 5:06 a.m. on June 9th. The suspect fled with her cellphone.


Friday, June 10:

11. At 5:50 a.m., an officer responded to Arcadia Medi-Dental Group, located at 311 East Live Oak Avenue, regarding a commercial alarm activation. An investigation revealed someone kicked in the front door and ransacked multiple rooms. The loss is unknown as of the date of this report.


12. At 7:57 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 400 block of West Huntington Drive regarding a burglary report. Sometime during the previous night, someone forced open the rear sliding glass door and left behind their shoes. No loss was reported as of the publication of this report.


Saturday, June 11:

13. At 10:15 a.m., an officer responded to a business complex at 324 East Foothill Boulevard regarding a vandalism report. An investigation revealed the complex mailbox had been broken into. At this time, it is unknown if mail had been stolen.


14. At 3:13 p.m., an officer responded to 24 Hour Fitness, located at 125 North 1st Avenue, regarding a petty theft report. The victim discovered his GT bicycle had been stolen between 2:10 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
