Arcadia first Female Mayor Floretta Lauber passes away

So sorry to hear this news of the passing this morning of Floretta Lauber, She  was a strong person and she fought this horrible disease for several months but she is at rest now. She did pass peacefully.  Floretta was the first female appointed to Arcadia’s Planning Commission, serving until 1973.  In 1974 she was the first woman to be elected to the Arcadia City Council and served as Mayor in 1976.
