Arcadia Host Lions Club was founded Sept. 21, 1936 and has served the Arcadia community for 80 years through a variety of projects such as delivering American flags to school children, walk-a-thons, teacher back-to-school barbecue, children’s Christmas party, student speaker contest, eye mobile to provide free eye screenings to the community,  free eye exams and new glasses for seniors through their senior sight program.

The Arcadia Community Coordinating Council (ACCC) provides a networking opportunity for community groups to share information about their upcoming projects and events and sponsors the Campership Program enabling low-income Arcadia children to attend summer camp. The public is encouraged to attend and new members are cordially invited.

The Arcadia Community Coordinating Council meets for a lunch program at 12 noon on the first Monday of each month at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 400 W. Duarte Road. In addition to organization reports and introductions/announcements by each attendee, there is a different guest speaker each month.

On Monday 2/6, the Arcadia Community Coordinating Council will receive a $1,000 donation to the Campership Fund from the Arcadia Host Lions Club.  The check will be presented by Ron Street. This will be a big help as the Council begins its annual fund drive for campership funds.
