ARCADIA CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS





Guests enjoy folk tales and storytelling, face painting, raffles, special treats, and photos with the Lucky God of Prosperity. Crafts include lanterns, fans, paper cutting, paper folding, and porcelain decorating.The stage and dance floor feature performances from Master Fenton Eng’s Kung Fu Studio, Master Arnold Chien’s tea demonstration, Arcadia Chinese Association, Live Oak Park Folk Dance Group, ArcadiaHappy Dancers, Arcadia High School Chinese Parents Booster Club, and Arcadia High School String Quartet.

Children and families are also invited to a Chinese New Year celebration at the Arcadia Public Library on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. We will be celebrating the Year of the Pig with fun stories, activities, and a festive card.

In addition, there will be a Lunar New Year Art Market on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2:30 p.m.Children of all ages can drop by the Library’s Art Market and receive special APL dollars to purchasesupplies to make crafts in celebration of the Lunar New Year. Younger children must be accompanied by an adult to assist with the crafts. All materials will be provided while supplies last.
