Arcadia High School alumna Eli Loghavi, who is now Executive Producer and Co-owner of Bagg Street Productions, had what she calls “the incredible opportunity” to work with the series creators to produce a one-hour documentary about the making of the new 13-episode series update of the iconic groundbreaking 1980 PBS series hosted by Carl Sagan. Her in-depth documentary, “Cosmos: The Journey Continues,” tells the story behind the original production and explores the challenges involved in the creation of this new series. The documentary is expected to be inclided on the Blu-ray Disc release of the entire  “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey” series this June.

“Cosmos: A SpaceTime Odyssey,” hosted by renowned astrophysicist Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson, is the saga of how we discovered the laws of nature and found our coordinates in space and time. As with the legendary original series, the new “Cosmos” brings to life never-before-told stories of the heroic quest for knowledge, transporting viewers to new worlds and across the universe for a vision of the cosmos on the grandest — and the smallest — scale.
