9/11 Firefighter tribute

The Arcadia Firefighters’ Association will mark the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 by conducting a memorial service at 6:45 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 11 at the flag poles of Arcadia Fire Station 106 on the corner of Huntington Drive and Baldwin Avenue. A traditional bell ceremony, musical tributes, wreath laying, and additional activities will serve to commemorate the 343 New York firefighters killed during rescue operations following the attacks, and the strength, resilience and unity of the American people.

The event is free and open to the public. A small coffee reception will immediately follow. Parking is available behind the station in the Westfield parking lot.
