210 train bridge work begins

Significant design for the Iconic Freeway Structure over the I-210 Freeway has been approved by Caltrans and Metro, paving the way for construction to begin, according to the Gold Line Foothill Construction Authority.

Starting this week, the contractor (Skanska) began mobilizing equipment in preparation for the initial stages of construction. A temporary sound wall was installed, and shoring of the median slopes will begin in the coming weeks. Foundation work for the structure itself will start in June.
