Arcadia Police have issued an advisory about anticipated heavy traffic today (Saturday (March 5) from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. due to the popular annual Santa Anita Handicap event at the race track.
Traffic congestion and delays will be encountered on the following roadways:
Baldwin Avenue, between Huntington Drive and the 210 freeway
Santa Anita Avenue, between Huntington Drive and the 210 freeway
Huntington Drive, from 5th Avenue to the Santa Anita Race Track
210 Freeway = near the Santa Anita Avenue & Baldwin Avenue exits
The police have suggested alternate routes:
NORTH/SOUTH STREETS Michillinda Boulevard First Avenue Second Avenue
EAST/WEST STREETS Foothill Boulevard Colorado Boulevard Duarte Road
RECOMMENDED RACE TRACK GATES (Less Congested) GATE 3 GATE 6
