The Anoakia Breeding Farm is dissolved

Anita began to dismantle the Anoakia Breeding Farm in 1921. It seems that this business became more of an expensive hobby than a successful enterprise. She gave all the thoroughbreds, Arabians and crossbreeds to the Army. The cattle, jacks and jennets were given to agricultural colleges and youth groups. The rest of the stock was sold.

Anita turned her interests to travel and music. Her travels to Egypt were well publicized. As an accomplished musician, she enjoyed some success in her compositions  that included scores for “Omar The Tentmaker,” with the play writer, Richard Walton Tully.
