The Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal-OES) will be conducting a systemwide test of the Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) system. The message will be: TEST TEST TEST. This is a Proficiency Demonstration Test Message. No action is required. This testing will help ensure emergency alert systems are operating properly in California and provide a clear assessment of support and training needs. The goal is to use the data collected by this event to better enhance the effectiveness of alert and warning messages, their coverage, and areas of needed support.
