Recreation and Community Services Department -Weekly Report August 9 - 13, 2021

SENIOR LUNCH PROGRAM A total of 213 meals were served during the week of August 9-13. The senior lunch program is available Monday through Friday from 11:30am to 12:15pm on a first come, first served basis. SENIOR CLASSES During the week of August 9-13, walk-in and virtual classes had 189 students registered. Classes include Oil Painting, Line Dance, Multilevel Yoga, Strength Training, and Zumba. GIFT SHOP The Gift Shop is open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 10am to 1pm. During the week of August 9-13, the Gift Shop had 35 shoppers and sales of $803.

CONCERTS & MOVIES IN THE PARK The first Summer Concert and Movie was held on Thursday, August 5. The band Cold Duck had 965 fans ready to dance! National Night Out and the City of Arcadia’s 118th birthday celebration was followed by the movie The Croods, A New Age with 260 in attendance.
















CONCERTS & MOVIES IN THE PARK The second and last concert this summer was held on Thursday, August 12, with the popular band The Answer on stage, leading the night away with 980 people in attendance. The movie Raya and the Last Dragon was attended by 180 guests. And lastly, a final farewell was given to our Department Senior Administrative Assistant, Toni McKiernan, by Mayor Pro Tem Paul Cheng
