East Meets West Parent Education Club recently organized two private tours of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory California Institute of Technology for the club’s middle school and high school students. JPL scientist Dr. Daren Lee led the students on the tours of the facilities including the Spacecraft Assembly Facility, the Mission Control Center and the In-Situ Instrument Laboratory. Dr. Lee answered many interesting questions from the students about space exploration and science-related careers at JPL. He also created an opportunity for JPL intern college students to share their valuable working and learning experience at JPL. The tours are part of the club’s summer education program for youth.
