All India Café opened its doors last week at 48 E. Huntington Dr. (between Santa Anita and First Ave. on the south side of the street). This is a locally owned restaurant that has two other spots (in Pasadena and Glendale). I can tell you from experience that they serve fantastic Indian food in a relaxed atmosphere. The operators went to Arcadia schools and are thrilled to open a restaurant in what they view as their hometown.

In addition, right next door, we have received plans for another new restaurant: the Boiling Crab. This seafood restaurant concept has about 2 dozen locations throughout California (including Alhambra and Rosemead) and beyond. Collectively, these two adjacent uses will bring some nice energy to the Downtown.
Finally, the former Foothill Credit Union Building at 30 S. First Ave. is going to be occupied by the Foothill Cardiology Medical Group.
This is a tough space to fill in a prominent location along First Ave., so we look forward to seeing this space occupied and a lot more activity returning to the area.
