The Arcadia Fire Department, in partnership with the citizen-led Arcadia Fire Department Foundation, is excited to showcase our Class 1 fire department at the first Arcadia Fire Foundation event held on May 25, 2024 between 1pm and 4pm at the Arcadia Masonic Lodge, 50 W. Duarte Rd. This is a great opportunity for our community and our supporters to experience the daily life of an Arcadia Firefighter and gain a deeper understanding of the critical work we do for our community. This event promises to provide a hands-on, immersive experience that will give you a firsthand look at what it takes to be an Arcadia Firefighter. You will have the chance to learn and use real firefighting equipment, and meet your professional firefighters to better understand the daily challenges they face. This event will feature a lifesaving medical scenario, donning and doffing of personal protective equipment, using the Jaws of Life, and much more. We will also conclude with real life scenarios, putting our firefighters to the test. We guarantee that this will be a very exciting and informative day.
We hope to share our vision and goal of constructing the Arcadia Fire/ U.S. Forest Service Joint Training Center. This training center will improve public safety in the San Gabriel Valley. It will fortify the areas emergency response capabilities and provide for a more skilled and adept firefighting force. It will also enhance inter-agency cooperation and training.
