Thank you for your interest in the Housing Element Update process. On September 30, 2021, the City submitted the Draft Housing Element to the State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD), for an initial review. Comments were received from the State HCD on November 29 and the City is now incorporating these comments into our Draft Element and related materials. To be in compliance with the State’s schedule for adoption, the City is beginning its official review process. The Draft Housing Element is to be considered at the January 25, 2022, Planning Commission meeting. Following that, it is anticipated the Draft Element will be considered by the City Council on February 15. Please review the revised Draft Housing Element (which will be posted in its entirety by December 30), associated environmental documents, and the Planning Commission Notice of Public Hearing, on the Housing Element Update website at ArcadiaCA.gov/housing.
