Help AEF win $500,000

To help AEF reach that goal, you can do the following to vote for AEF on the Chase Community Giving Facebook application:

Step 1 (This step is only necessary if you don’t already have a Facebook account.) Go to http://www.facebook.com and fill out the sign up form to create an account.

Step 2 Click here (http://apps.facebook.com/chasecommunitygiving/charities/953651495-arcadia-educational-foundation?src=twitter) to go to the AEF page on the Chase Community Giving application (it will open in a new browser window).

Public schools are struggling, especially in California. Despite budget cuts for several years, the Arcadia Unified School District (AUSD) staved off damage to quality education by using funds it had prudently reserved. With new, drastic cuts from the state, AUSD now faces devastating blows resulting in the loss of over 60 of its 400+ teachers for the 2011/2012 school year. AUSD is among the lowest-funded school districts in California; yet, it ranks 13th out of all 766 California school districts (www.schooldigger.com). AUSD educates over 9,800 students on ten campuses and manages to score among the highest in California’s standardized tests and regularly wins national recognition for student achievements. $500,000 would be used by the Arcadia Education Foundation (AEF), the fundraising arm for AUSD, to maintain and strengthen the quality of public education. All communities need well-educated children to thrive. Arcadia schools do more with less. Please, reward success.
