Happy, healthy breasts Oct. 23

Methodist Hospital, in partnership with Arcadia Senior Services, will present a special breast wellness program 1:30-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, at the Arcadia Community Center, 365 Campus Drive. Dr. Elizabeth Lee, MD, will present some very important facts on breast anatomy and breast changes throughout a woman’s life – such as breast sagging and common benign breast abnormalities. What’s your bra size? Are you one of the more than 90 percent of women who wear the wrong size or type of bra? Nordstrom’s lingerie department representatives also will be on hand to explain how to buy a properly fit bra. Since October is Nationally Recognized Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Dr. Lee will give an update on this most common form of cancer in women. She will present the latest information on prevention, early detection and treatment options. The United States still has the highest incidence of breast cancer, and it is no respecter of age. The good news is that the rate of mortality has declined, and if early diagnosis is made, the five-year survival rate is now 98 percent. Please join us for this fun and informative presentation on breast wellness. Call Arcadia Senior Services at 626-574-5130 to make your reservation.
