GOVERNOR DEMANDS WATER RESTRICTIONS

Earlier this week, the Governor adopted Executive Orders demanding local agencies to do more to conserve water in light of the continuing drought. The good news is that most of the things he’s asking of us we are already doing. We have maintained our days per week requirements since the last peak of the drought and have done away with our ornamental water in medians and other measures to reduce usage. The big takeaway is that the state and our water agencies are increasingly sounding alarms about the extent of the drought and we will need to do more education with our businesses and residents to encourage more conservation. Overall, the Governor continues to encourage everyone to cut back on water usage by 15%. We will be ramping up our educational efforts on that front in the coming weeks.
