Arcadia firefighters will read to children at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, n the Imagination Theater at the Arcadia Public Library, 20 W. Duarte Road, as part of the Read Across America program.
Everyone is welcome for a celebration of reading. Enjoy a story or two, watch a short video, have a snack and get set for some surprises! Maybe even meet a real firefighter and see a real fire engine up close!
Also in the Imagination Theater, for three consecutive Mondays at 3:30 p.m., beginning March 8 and continuing March 15 and 22, the afterschool storytime for elementary school children will give students the chance to hear some of the books nominated for the California Young Reader Medal read aloud.
On March 22 you will get to vote for your favorite!
There will also be a fun craft relating to the books we read. No registration required. Come for one, two, or all three meetings.
