Fire Department Weekly Report - week of September 7 – 13, 2025

The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the
week of September 7 – 13, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types
recorded for this period:

Sunday, September 7
At 5:57 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical incident
in the 1600 block of South Baldwin Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 68-
year-old female complaining of cardiac dysrhythmia and chest pain. The patient
received a comprehensive medical assessment, which included vital signs evaluation,
a 12-lead electrocardiogram (EKG), intravenous therapy, and was transported to USC
Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Monday, September 8
At 5:58 p.m., Engine 106 and Truck 105 responded to a stalled elevator in the 300
block of West Huntington Drive. Fire personnel found the elevator without power
and stuck between the third and fourth floors. The elevator system was reset, and
an elevator pick was used to open the doors to help the occupants out safely. The
elevator was placed out of service, and no injuries were reported.

Tuesday, September 9
At 2:43 p.m., Engine 105 responded to a reported vegetation fire at the intersection
of Santa Anita Avenue and Campus Drive. Fire personnel arrived and found
vegetation and debris on fire on the center median. A one-inch booster line was
utilized with Class A foam to extinguish the fire. No injuries and no property damage
occurred.
Wednesday, September 10
At 5:17 p.m., Truck 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106 responded to the 100
block of West Longden Avenue for a traffic collision. Fire personnel arrived and found
an automobile versus motorcycle collision with the 30-year-old male motorcyclist
with trauma to the head and upper torso. The patient received advanced life support
protocols and was transported to Huntington Hospital for further treatment.
Thursday, September 11
At 4:14 p.m., Engine 106, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a
medical incident in the 600 block of West Huntington Drive. Fire personnel found a69-year-old female with a chief complaint of a syncopal episode. The patient received
a full medical evaluation, which included a 12-lead EKG, intravenous therapy, and
was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Friday, September 12
At 3:41 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106 responded to a report
of an automobile versus pedestrian collision at the intersection of North First Avenue
and Santa Clara Street. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 13-year-old e-bike cyclist
who had collided with a vehicle and sustained minor traumatic injuries. The patient
received a full trauma evaluation and remained on scene with Arcadia Police
Department.
Saturday, September 13
At 8:29 a.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident
in the 100 block of West Huntington Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel found one
patient with psychiatric issues. The patient received a full medical evaluation and was
transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
