Fire Department Weekly Report - week of September 21 – 27, 2025

The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of September 21 – 27, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types recorded for this period:

Sunday, September 21
At 11:39 a.m., Engine 107 responded to the westbound 210 Freeway for a reported
traffic collision. Fire personnel arrived to find a solo car into the center divider. The
driver was the sole occupant and suffered minor injuries. The patient received
intravenous therapy, medications, 12-lead electrocardiogram (EKG), blood glucose
monitoring, and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Monday, September 22
At 4:54 p.m., Engine 105 responded to the 5100 block of Farna Avenue for a reported
animal rescue. Fire personnel arrived to find a kitten stuck in a tree. Due to the height
of the kitten’s location, Truck 105 was requested to assist by utilizing the aerial ladder
in order to safely reach the kitten.
Tuesday, September 23
At 9:34 a.m., Engine 106, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a
medical incident in the 200 block of West Naomi Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel
found a 93-year-old male with a chief complaint of a chest pain. The patient received
a full medical evaluation which included a 12-lead EKG, intravenous therapy, cardiac
medications, and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Wednesday, September 24
At 12:48 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a
medical incident in the 400 block of East Huntington Drive. Upon arrival, fire
personnel found a 49-year-old male with a complaint of a syncopal episode. The
patient received a full medical evaluation which included a 12-lead EKG, blood
glucose check, intravenous therapy, oxygen, and was transported to USC Arcadia
Hospital for further treatment.
Thursday, September 25
At 5:36 p.m., Engine 107, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106 responded to a vehicle
collision at the intersection of Second Avenue and Colorado Boulevard. Upon arrival,
fire personnel found a 59-year-old female presented with a chief complaint
consistent with multi-system trauma. The patient received a full medical evaluation
and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Friday, September 26
At 11:22 a.m., Truck 105 responded to a report of a water leak in the 700 block of
Arcadia Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found an active water leak from the
connection port behind a toilet. The water supply to the building was shut off to stop
the leak, and water-vac operations were performed in the two affected units. The
property manager was notified by phone.
Saturday, September 27
At 10:42 a.m., Truck 105 responded to the 100 block of Las Tunas Drive for a person
reported to be trapped inside of a stalled elevator. Upon arrival, fire personnel found
one person trapped on the third floor. The elevator was manually lowered to the
ground floor and non-destructive access was made to remove the trapped occupant.
No medical attention was needed, and the elevator was placed out-of-service.
