The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of October 26 – November 1, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident

types recorded for this period:

Sunday, October 26

At 12:07 p.m., Rescue Ambulance 105 and Monrovia Engine 101 responded to a

medical incident in the 100 block of California Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel

found a 71-year-old female experiencing a seizure. The patient received a 12-lead

electrocardiogram (EKG), blood glucose check, intravenous therapy, and was

transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.


Monday, October 27

At 5:15 p.m., Truck 105 responded to the 100 block of East Duarte Road for a person

reported to be trapped inside an elevator. Upon arrival, fire personnel found three

adults and two children inside the elevator. The elevator was manually lowered to

the ground floor and non-destructive access was made to safely extricate the

trapped occupants. No medical attention was needed, and the management

company was notified.


Tuesday, October 28

At 4:54 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to the 100

block of Arthur Avenue for a report of an unstable person. Fire personnel arrived to

find an 87-year-old male that had fallen after experiencing severe knee pain. The

patient was evaluated, stabilized, placed into a splint, and was transported to USC

Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.


Wednesday, October 29

At 3:05 p.m., Engine 107 responded to a reported sheared hydrant at the intersection

of Santa Anita Avenue and Saint Joseph Street. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a

single-tractor trailer that struck a fire hydrant while navigating a turn. No other

vehicles were involved, and Public Works Department was requested to assess the

potential damage to the water system and to restore the hydrant. Police Department

was on scene to assist with traffic control, removal of the disabled vehicles from the

roadway, and an incident report.

Thursday, October 30

At 3:25 a.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident

in the 1100 block of Loganrita Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 34-year-

old male with a chief complaint of chest pain and dyspnea. The patient received a 12-

lead EKG, intravenous therapy, aspirin and nitroglycerin, and was transported to USC

Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.


Friday, October 31

At 10:02 a.m., Engine 105 responded to a report of a natural gas leak in the 1400

block of South Tenth Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found an active gas leak

outside the residence. The gas supply to the house was shut off and Southern

California Gas Company (SoCalGas) was notified. The resident was informed of the

damaged pipe and advised to leave the gas shut off until the area was deemed safe

by SoCalGas.


Saturday, November 1

At 5:35 a.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a two-vehicle

traffic collision in the 1800 block of South Santa Anita Avenue. Upon arrival, fire

personnel found one patient with a shoulder deformity and complaints consistent

with multi-system trauma. The patient received a full trauma assessment and was

transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
