The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of October 12 – 18, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types
recorded for this period:

Sunday, October 12
At 11:07 p.m., Engine 106, Engine 107, and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a
report of a single-vehicle traffic collision on the westbound 210 Freeway. Upon
arrival, fire personnel found a 26-year-old female on the freeway shoulder following
a collision between a sedan and a tractor trailer. The patient sustained blunt head
trauma and multi-system injuries, and received a full trauma evaluation, intravenous
therapy, electrocardiogram (EKG), medications, and was transported to Huntington
Hospital for further treatment.
Monday, October 13
At 6:36 p.m., Truck 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident
in the 400 block of South Santa Anita Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a
40-year-old male with a chief complaint of left thigh pain following a fall while
skateboarding. The patient received a full trauma evaluation, secondary assessment,
EKG, intravenous therapy, pain medication, a traction splint to stabilize the injury,
and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Tuesday, October 14
At 4:14 p.m., Engine 105, Engine 107, Engine 41, Truck 105, and Battalion 105
responded to a reported structure fire in the 1700 block of Elevado Avenue. Upon
arrival, fire personnel found a handheld butane canister on fire in the kitchen sink.
Fire was quickly extinguished and confined to the area of origin without extension,
and the smoke was cleared from the structure.
Wednesday, October 15
Two Arcadia Fireline Paramedics1 were deployed to the Garnet Incident for initial
firefighting operations and continued to support recovery efforts. They have been
deployed for 14 and 21 days, respectively.

Thursday, October 16
At 4:22 p.m., Engine 106 responded to the 1000 block of Sunset Boulevard to
investigate a hazardous condition. Fire personnel arrived to find a residential
property with a ceiling that collapsed due to water damage from the recent rains.
Further investigation revealed no structural damage, and no persons were injured.
Friday, October 17
At 2:13 p.m., Engine 106, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a
medical incident in the 600 block of Sunset Boulevard. Upon arrival, fire personnel
found a 28-year-old male with an altered level of consciousness from an overdose.
The patient received Narcan to reverse the effects of the overdose, EKG, intravenous
therapy, blood glucose check, and became agitated. Police officers responded to
assist with restraining the patient, and the patient was transported to USC Arcadia
Hospital for further treatment.
Saturday, October 18
At 3:48 a.m., Engine 106, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a
medical incident in the 200 block of West Huntington Drive. Upon arrival, fire
personnel found a 78-year-old male with a complaint of left shoulder pain from a
mechanical fall. The patient received a 12-lead EKG, blood glucose check, intravenous
therapy, left arm mobilization in a sling and swathe, and was transported to USC
Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
