Fire Department Weekly Report - week of May 4 – 10, 2025

The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of May 4 – 10, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types recorded for this
period:

Sunday, May 4
At 5:31 a.m., Engine 107, Rescue Ambulance 105, and Rescue Ambulance 106
responded to a report of a vehicle collision at the intersection of Northview Avenue and
Foothill Boulevard. Upon arrival, fire personnel found two patients inside a vehicle that
had collided with a tree. Both patients had chief complaints consistent with multi-system
trauma and received full medical evaluations. They were transported to USC Arcadia
Hospital for further treatment.

Monday, May 5
At 3:05 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident in
the 100 block of West Huntington Drive. Upon arrival, accompanied by the attending
surgeon, the patient was immediately loaded into the ambulance. Due to the severity of
the patient’s condition, the surgeon maintained full medical control throughout transport,
and the patient was directly admitted to USC Arcadia Hospital.
Tuesday, May 6
At 11:31 a.m., Battalion 105 was dispatched to the 11800 block of Goldring Road and
met with Los Angeles County Health Hazardous Materials Division officials to assist with
potential biohazards and other toxins, and to investigate where they originated and the
potential health risks. All packages were tested on site and found to be non-threatening.
Wednesday, May 7
At 2:56 a.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to the 1600 block of
South Fourth Avenue for a person experiencing chest pain. Fire personnel arrived to find
a 70-year-old female suffering from a dysrhythmia. The patient received advanced life
support measures, including a 12-lead electrocardiogram (EKG), blood glucose testing,
intravenous therapy, medications, and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for
further treatment.
Thursday, May 8
At 8:56 a.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a report
of a vehicle versus pedestrian in the 400 block of West Leroy Avenue. Upon arrival, fire
personnel found an 80-year-old male with traumatic injuries after being struck by a vehicle
travelling at approximately 10-15 miles per hour. The patient received a full trauma
assessment, which included a 12-lead EKG, intravenous therapy, and was transported to
USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Friday, May 9
At 9:45 a.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident in
the 1600 block of Baldwin Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 72-year-old malewith a complaint of difficulty breathing. The patient received a full medical assessment,
which included a 12-lead EKG, intravenous therapy, oxygen therapy, and was transported
to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Saturday, May 10
At 6:22 p.m., Truck 105 responded to a report of a fire sprinkler system activation in the
1000 block of Wilson Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a leaking pipe
discharging a copious amount of water in the back room of a residential structure and
immediately shut off the water supply to the sprinkler system and used water vacuum and
hand tools to remove the water from the structure. The damage was confined to the back
room.
