Fire Department Weekly Report week of June 22 – 28, 2025

The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of June 22 – 28, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types recorded

for this period:


Sunday, June 22

At 1:44 a.m., Engine 105 responded to a report of a trash fire in the 100 block of East

Huntington Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a trash can actively emitting

smoke and flames. The fire was successfully extinguished with a 1¾” hose line and

was contained to the area of origin.

Monday, June 23

At 10:54 a.m., Engine 105 responded to the 1500 block of Tenth Avenue for a report

of powerlines down. Fire personnel arrived to find multiple communication lines

across the roadway and removed them to ensure public safety.

Tuesday, June 24

At 10:19 a.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to the 400 block of

South Santa Anita Avenue for a person reported as feeling weak. Fire personnel

arrived to find a 65-year-old female suffering from chest pain. The patient received

intravenous therapy, cardiac monitoring, blood glucose testing, medications, and

was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.

Wednesday, June 25

At 2:38 p.m., Truck 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106 responded to a medical

incident in the 100 block of West Palm Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 66-

year-old male exhibiting stroke symptoms. The patient received a 12-lead

electrocardiogram, blood glucose check, intravenous therapy, and was transported

to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.

Thursday, June 26

At 11:10 a.m., Truck 105 responded to a report of people trapped inside an elevator

in the 300 block of West Huntington Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a stalled

elevator car with two occupants inside. Fire personnel gained access to the elevator

control room where the elevator system was reset electronically, and the occupants

were safely extricated. Both occupants denied any medical care and were released

at the scene. The elevator car was placed out-of-service, and the maintenance staff

were contacted for repair.

Friday, June 27

At 9:28 p.m., Engine 106 responded to a report of an animal problem in the 800 block

of West Duarte Road. Upon arrival, fire personnel located a stray kitten trapped

within the engine compartment of a parked vehicle. Using appropriate tools, the

kitten was safely rescued without causing any damage to the vehicle.

Saturday, June 28

At 10:41 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to the 400 block of

South Baldwin Avenue for a miscellaneous medical incident. Fire personnel arrived

to find a 46-year-old female complaining of altered level of consciousness. The

patient received intravenous therapy, cardiac monitoring, blood glucose testing,

medications, and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
