Fire Department Weekly Report - week of June 15 – 21, 2025

The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the

week of June 15 – 21, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types recorded

for this period:




Sunday, June 15

At 7:55 p.m., Engine 105, RA 105, Battalion 105, and units from Monrovia Fire

Department were dispatched to assist law enforcement with a rescue in the 5000

block of Peck Road. Upon arrival, Engine 105 determined that a rescue system was

needed to extricate a person who was stuck down a hill in the water. Once Arcadia

Police Department gave clearance to begin the operation; fire crews successfully

extricated the individual from the lake. Arcadia Police Department and Los Angeles

County Sheriff’s Department remained on scene after fire department units cleared.

Monday, June 16

At 8:44 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106 responded to a

medical incident in the 400 block of East Santa Clara Street. Upon arrival, fire

personnel found a 77-year-old female at a hotel with a chief complaint of shortness

of breath. A full medical evaluation was performed, including vital signs, a 12-lead

EKG, and IV therapy. The patient was transported by Rescue Ambulance 105 to USC

Arcadia Hospital for further evaluation.

Tuesday, June 17

At 1:48 p.m., Engine 107 and Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106 responded to a

reported fall near the 00 block East Newman Avenue. Upon arrival, Engine 107 and

Rescue Ambulance 105 found a 21-year-old male working on the cable line and

encountered electrical wires. The patient was electrocuted and sustained traumatic

injuries to his hands. Fire personnel performed a full trauma evaluation which

included a complete set of vital signs, secondary assessment, electrocardiogram,

established intravenous access, and administered pain medication. Paramedics

determined the patient met trauma criteria and was transported to Huntington

Hospital for further evaluation.

Wednesday, June 18

At 10:45 a.m., Engine 107, Rescue Ambulance 106 and BLS 106 responded to a

medical incident near the 500 block of North First Avenue. Upon arrival, Engine 107

and Rescue Ambulance 106 found a 79-year-old male with a chief complaint of a

chest pain. Fire personnel performed a full medical evaluation which included a 12-

lead electrocardiogram, established intravenous access, administered cardiac

medications, and obtained a complete set of vital signs. Rescue Ambulance 106

transported the patient to USC Arcadia Hospital for further evaluation.

Thursday, June 19

At 2:49 p.m., Engine 105, Truck 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, BLS 105, USAR 106, and

Battalion 105 responded to a report of a vehicle that had collided with a structure in

the 100 block of Campus Drive. Upon arrival, one patient was evaluated by

paramedics. The vehicle had gone through a classroom, and fire personnel stabilized

the structure. A winch was used to remove the vehicle from the building, and AUSD

personnel remained on scene to secure the affected structure.

Friday, June 20

At 6:54 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a report of an

auto versus pedestrian collision in the parking area of 400 South Baldwin Avenue.

Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 20-year-old pregnant female with multi-system

traumatic injuries. A full medical and trauma evaluation was conducted, and the

patient received treatment for the injuries. Rescue Ambulance 106 transported the

patient to Los Angeles General Trauma Center for further evaluation.

Saturday, June 21

At 3:16 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, BLS 106, and Pasadena Engine 37

responded to a report of a traffic collision on the westbound 210 Freeway at the

Santa Anita off-ramp. Upon arrival, fire personnel assessed a 20-year-old male

patient with facial injuries and suspected multi-system trauma. The vehicle had

collided with the center divider; no other vehicles were involved. A full medical

evaluation was performed, including vital signs, a 12-lead EKG, and IV therapy. The

patient was transported by Rescue Ambulance 106 to USC Arcadia Hospital for

further evaluation.
