Fire Department Weekly Report - week of June 1 – 7, 2025

The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of June 1 – 7, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types recorded

for this period:




Sunday, June 1

At 10:21 a.m., Engine 106, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a

medical incident in the 800 block of West Duarte Road. Upon arrival, fire personnel

found a 72-year-old male with a complaint of difficulty breathing and a low heart rate.

The patient received a full medical evaluation, which included a 12-lead

electrocardiogram (EKG), intravenous therapy, high-flow oxygen, and was

transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.

Monday, June 2

At 9:10 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident

in the 1300 block of Baldwin Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 27-year-

old male with a chief complaint of right ankle pain while playing basketball. The

patient received a full trauma evaluation, which included a complete set of vital signs,

secondary assessment, EKG, intravenous therapy, pain medication, and was

transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.

Tuesday, June 3

At 5:23 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 106, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS

106 responded to a report of a traffic collision in the 200 block of Colorado Place.

Upon arrival, fire personnel found a vehicle that had crashed into a water main. Two

patients, ages 14 and 10, were found with multi-system traumatic injuries. Both

patients received full medical and trauma evaluations and were transported to a

pediatric trauma center. The Arcadia Police Department remained on scene.

Wednesday, June 4


At 7:09 p.m., Truck 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106

responded to a report of a traffic collision near the

intersection of Santa Anita Avenue and Fano Street. Upon

arrival, fire personnel found a two-vehicle traffic collision

involving multiple patients suffering from multi-system

traumatic injuries. All patients received full medical and

trauma evaluations. One 17-year-old male was transported to

Huntington Hospital, and all other patients declined additional

care. The Arcadia Police Department remained on scene.



Thursday, June 5

At 4:21 p.m., Engine 106 and Engine 107 responded to a reported vegetation fire on

the westbound 210 Freeway. Fire personnel arrived to find a 20’ by 40’ area of fire

extending into pine trees. The blaze was quickly knocked down by utilizing a hose

line. No property damage and no injuries occurred.


Friday, June 6

At 4:17 p.m., Truck 105 responded to the 400 block of Baldwin Avenue for a reported

person trapped inside an elevator. Fire personnel arrived and found three occupants

trapped inside an elevator on the third floor. The power to the elevator was shut

down and the doors were released by utilizing specialized tools. The passengers

exited the elevator safely without injuries. The elevator was placed out-of-service.


Saturday, June 7

At 10:07 a.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to the 600 block of

Sharon Road for a person down. Fire personnel arrived to find an 85-year-old female

suffering from chest pain. The patient received advanced life support protocols

including intravenous therapy, cardiac monitoring, blood glucose testing,

medications, and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
