The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the

week of July 6 – 12, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types recorded

for this period:

Sunday, July 6

At 10:14 a.m., Engine 107 responded to the 1100 block of Encanto Drive for a

reported medical alarm. Fire personnel arrived to find an accidental activation and

the system was reset. No injuries and no property damage occurred.

Monday, July 7

At 10:39 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a report of a

vehicle versus pedestrian incident at the intersection of Huntington Drive and First

Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 45-year-old male with a chief complaint

of bilateral leg and back pain after being struck by a vehicle travelling at a low speed.

The patient received a full trauma assessment, which included a 12-lead

electrocardiogram (EKG), intravenous therapy, and was transported to USC Arcadia

Hospital for further treatment.

Tuesday, July 8

At 7:04 a.m., Engine 106 and Engine 107 responded to a reported vehicle fire on the

westbound 210 Freeway at Santa Anita Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a

tractor trailer fire with the driver standing outside the vehicle. Fire personnel initiated

an aggressive attack on the fire with a 1.5” hose line, extinguished the fire, and

confined the fire to the tractor trailer. Arcadia Police Department and California

Highway Patrol assisted with traffic control during firefighting operations.

Wednesday, July 9

At 3:42 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance

105, and BLS 106 responded to a report of a

two-vehicle traffic collision at the intersection of Duarte Road and Lyndon Way. Upon arrival, fire personnel found three patients with chief complaints of multi-system trauma. While all patients received full trauma assessments, one patient declined further care, and the

other two patients were transported to USC

Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.


Thursday, July 10

At 8:17 a.m., Engine 106, Engine 105, Engine 107, Truck 105, Rescue Ambulance 105,

Rescue Ambulance 106, Battalion 105, and units from Monrovia Fire Department

responded to a report of a structure fire in the 300 block of Harvard Drive. Upon

arrival, fire personnel discovered a fire in the basement of the structure and Engine

106 was assigned to the tactical objective of extinguishment. The fire was contained

to the area of origin, and Investigator 105 was assigned to investigate.


Friday, July 11

At 4:38 p.m., Engine 106, Truck 105, and Battalion 105 responded to the 2000 block

of Baldwin Avenue for a reported vehicle fire. Fire personnel arrived to find an electric

vehicle with an electronic failure causing the main battery to overheat and catch fire.

Due to exposures being immediately threatened, the vehicle was pulled away from

nearby structures. A specialized blanket to cover and smother the fire was used to

help with suppression. No injuries occurred during this incident.

Saturday, July 12

At 10:36 a.m., Engine 105 responded to the 200 block of West Huntington Drive for a

reported vehicle fire. Fire personnel arrived to find a semi-truck on fire, and the

tractor was separated from the trailer to ensure the fire did not extend. The fire was

contained to the area of origin, and no injuries occurred.
