The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of July 27 – August 2, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types
recorded for this period:

Sunday, July 27
At 1:22 p.m., Engine 105, Truck 105, Rescue Ambulance 106, and Battalion 105
responded to a report of a vegetation fire in the backyard of a residence in the 600
block of East Longden Avenue. Fire personnel quickly extinguished the fire and used
hand tools to ensure complete extinguishment.

Monday, July 28
At 9:29 a.m., Truck 105, Rescue Ambulance 106, and Battalion 105 responded to a
reported structure fire in the 300 block of Norwood Place in San Gabriel. Truck 105
and Rescue Ambulance 106 were assigned to salvage operations and assisted with
vertical ventilation. Fire personnel successfully contained the fire to the area of
origin.
Tuesday, July 29
At 8:59 a.m., Engine 105 responded to the 5400 block of Peck Road for a rubbish fire.
Fire personnel arrived to find a fully involved dumpster fire and quickly extinguished
it with a single hose line. No property damage occurred, and the fire was contained
to the area of origin. The cause of the fire was suspicious in nature and remains
under investigation.
Wednesday, July 30
At 10:42 a.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to the 300 block of
West Huntington Drive for a person having an allergic reaction. Fire personnel arrived
to find a 70-year-old male experiencing a reaction to a treatment. The patient
received advanced life support protocols, which included a 12-lead
electrocardiogram (EKG), intravenous therapy, blood glucose testing, medications,
and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Thursday, July 31
At 10:36 a.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical
incident in the 200 block of East Huntington Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel found
a 65-year-old female with a complaint of seizure. The patient received a full medical
evaluation, which included a 12-lead EKG, intravenous therapy, blood glucose check,
and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Friday, August 1
At 10:36 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical
incident in the 1600 block of South Baldwin Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel
found a 76-year-old female with a chief complaint of chest pain and dyspnea. The
patient received a full medical evaluation, which included a 12-lead EKG, intravenous
therapy, aspirin and nitroglycerin, and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for
further treatment.
Saturday, August 2
At 12:00 p.m., Verdugo Dispatch requested a Fireline EMT1 to respond to the Santa
Maria area to assist multiple agencies with the Gifford Fire. Arcadia’s Fireline EMTs
will deploy for a minimum 14-day commitment and will provide medical coverage for
the division to which they are assigned.
