The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of July 20 – 26, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types recorded

for this period:

Sunday, July 20

At 10:13 a.m., Engine 106, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to the 900

block of La Cadena Avenue for a person down. Fire personnel arrived to find a 90-

year-old female describing that she was weak, dizzy, and suffering from nausea and

vomiting. The patient received a 12-lead electrocardiogram (EKG), intravenous

therapy, blood glucose testing, and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for

further treatment.


Monday, July 21

At 11:06 a.m., Engine 107 responded to a report of an outside fire on the westbound

210 Freeway at Santa Anita Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a pile of trash

actively producing smoke and flames. Hose line and hand tools were used to fully

extinguish the fire, and the fire was contained to the area of origin.


Tuesday, July 22

At 2:48 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident

in the 100 block of West Huntington Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 70-

year-old male complaining of cardiac dysrhythmia and chest pain. The patient

received a 12-lead EKG, intravenous therapy, and was transported to USC Arcadia

Hospital for further treatment.


Wednesday, July 23

At 1:25 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to the 400 block of

South Baldwin Avenue for a reported traffic collision. Fire personnel arrived to find a

74-year-old female who had been struck by an automobile. The patient was

transported to Huntington Hospital for further treatment.


Thursday, July 24

At 10:03 a.m., Engine 106 responded to the 5600 block of Peck Road for a reported

flammable gas leak. Fire personnel arrived to find a commercial vehicle powered by

compressed natural gas experiencing a valve malfunction. A safety zone around the

area was secured until the flammable gas dissipated. The vehicle was released to a

service technician. No injuries and no property damage occurred during this incident.


Friday, July 25

At 8:15 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a report of a

medical incident in the 1800 block of Seventh Place. Upon arrival, fire personnel

found an 84-year-old female complaining of diffuse abdominal pain. The patient

received a 12-lead EKG, intravenous therapy, and was transported to USC Arcadia

Hospital for further treatment.


Saturday, July 26

At 2:38 p.m., Engine 105, Truck 105, and units from Monrovia Fire Department

responded to a report of an overturned vehicle on the westbound 210 Freeway at

Huntington Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel found two patients with complaints of

minor traumatic injuries. Both patients received a complete medical evaluation,

which included a 12-lead EKG, but declined further care.
