Fire Department Weekly Report - week of January 11 – 17, 2026

The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of January 11 – 17, 2026.
The following is a breakdown of incident types
recorded for this period:

Sunday, January 11
At 5:47 p.m., Engine 106 and Truck 105 responded to an elevator rescue in the 400
block of Baldwin Avenue. Fire personnel arrived and found one occupant trapped in
a stalled elevator car between floors. The power supply to the affected elevator car
was secured and the occupant was safely extricated without injuries. The elevator
car was placed out-of-service.
Monday, January 12
At 3:54 p.m., Engine 105, Engine 106, Engine 107, Truck 105, Rescue Ambulance 105
and Battalion 105 responded to a structure fire in the 700 block of First Avenue. Fire
personnel arrived and found a two-story house with a large amount of fire on the
first floor extending into the second floor, and began interior fire attack, vertical
ventilation, primary search, exposure protection, salvage and overhaul. Surrounding
fire agencies responded to assist with gaining control and extinguishing the fire. No
injuries occurred during this incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Tuesday, January 13
At 4:30 p.m., Engine 105 and Truck 105 responded to an elevator rescue in the 600
block of Las Tunas Drive. Fire personnel arrived and found one adult female trapped
in a stalled elevator car. The elevator was manually lowered to the second floor
where the occupant was safely extricated without injury. No medical attention was
needed, and the elevator was placed out-of-service.
Wednesday, January 14
At 10:40 p.m., Engine 105 and Engine 102 responded to the 1300 block of Third
Avenue for a reported power line down. Fire personnel arrived and found a
communication line across the roadway, and the hazard was safely removed. No
injuries and no property damage occurred during this incident.
Thursday, January 15
At 5:10 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 41 and BLS 106 responded to a medical
incident in the 100 block of Huntington Drive. Fire personnel arrived and found a 70-
year-old female exhibiting stroke symptoms. The patient received a 12-lead
electrocardiogram, blood glucose reading, intravenous therapy and was transported
to USC Arcadia Hospital for further care.
Friday, January 16
At 11:53 a.m., Engine 105, Engine 106, Engine 107, Truck

105, Rescue Ambulance 106 and Battalion 105
responded to an apartment fire in the 500 block of
Fairview Avenue. Fire personnel arrived and found a two-
story apartment complex with a large amount of smoke
and fire from one unit on the first floor extending into
the second floor, and began interior fire attack, vertical
ventilation, primary search, exposure protection, salvage
and overhaul. Surrounding fire agencies responded to
assist with gaining control and extinguishing the fire. No
injuries occurred during this incident. The cause of the
fire is under investigation.
Saturday, January 17
At 4:28 p.m., Battalion 105, USAR 106, Truck 105 and units from Sierra Madre Fire
Department responded to a report of a mountain rescue in the 100 block of Mira
Monte on the Mount Wilson Trail. Fire personnel ascended and traveled over a mile
on the steep trail carrying rescue equipment in search of the hiker. Two teenage
hikers were assisted back to safety as nighttime darkness set in. The hikers required
no further care following their rescue.
