Fire Department Weekly Report - week of August 31 – September 6, 2025.

The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the
week of August 31 – September 6, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident
types recorded for this period:

Sunday, August 31
At 7:30 a.m., Engine 106, Strike Team 1205A, and an Arcadia Fire Strike Team Leader
were dispatched as an immediate-need request to the Blue Incident in Siskiyou
County near the Oregon border. Our teams were assigned to multiple incidents
statewide, supporting operations such as Strike Team Leaders, Type 1 and Type 6
engines, and fire line paramedics. Our fire personnel and command staff hold
multiple wildfire qualifications and provide mutual aid across the state and nation as
requested.
Monday, September 1
At 4:58 p.m., Engine 105 responded to a report of a burst pipe near the eastbound
210 Freeway by Santa Anita Avenue. Upon arrival, there was a broken water main
that was draining onto the street. Fire personnel mitigated the problem, and Cal
Trans provided the clean-up of the mudslide.

Tuesday, September 2
At 1:32 p.m., Engine 107, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106 responded to the 100
block of East Foothill Boulevard for a traffic collision. Fire personnel arrived and
found two occupants involved with one person experiencing back pain. This patient
was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Wednesday, September 3
At 5:37 p.m., Engine 105 responded to a reported outside type of fire. Fire personnel
arrived and found a fully involved dumpster fire. The fire was quickly knocked down
with a single hose line. No property damage and no injuries occurred.
Thursday, September 4
At 4:54 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to the 100
block of Genoa Street for a person down. Fire personnel arrived and found a 29-year-
old male suffering from chest pain. The patient received intravenous therapy, cardiac
monitoring, blood glucose testing, medications, and was transported to USC Arcadia
Hospital for further treatment.
Friday, September 5
At 9:25 a.m., Engine 106, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to the
intersection of Huntington Drive and Holly Avenue for a reported auto versus
pedestrian traffic collision. Fire personnel arrived and found a cyclist under a large
commercial vehicle. The patient received intravenous therapy, cardiac monitoring,
blood glucose testing, medications, and was transported to Huntington Hospital for
further treatment.
Saturday, September 6
At 7:59 a.m., Engine 107 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to the 1700 block of
Santa Anita Avenue for a person down. Fire personnel arrived and found a 56-year-
old male in cardiac arrest. The patient received intravenous therapy, cardiac
monitoring, medications, blood glucose testing, respiratory assistance, and was
transported to USC Arcadia Hospital after regaining a full return of cardiac
circulation.
