Fire Department Weekly Report - week of August 3 – 9, 2025

The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of August 3 – 9, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types recorded
for this period:

Sunday, August 3
At 9:52 p.m., Engine 106 responded to a report of a vehicle fire in the 400 block of
South Baldwin Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel located a fully involved vehicle
fire with all occupants safely out of the vehicle. A 1¾” hose line with foam was used
to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported, and the occupants of the vehicle
remained on scene with the Arcadia Police Department.
Monday, August 4
At 11:51 a.m., Engine 105 responded to the 200 block of West Huntington Drive for a
reported gas leak. Fire personnel arrived and found a vehicle with mechanical failure
emitting strong smell of gasoline. The issue was stabilized, and no environmental
impact occurred.
Tuesday, August 5
At 3:07 p.m., Truck 105 responded to the 1000 block of Coronado Drive for an animal
rescue. The resident reported a kitten in the attic, but fire personnel found no sign
of a kitten or other animals.
Wednesday, August 6
At 8:42 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident
in the 2500 block of South Fourth Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found an 88-
year-old female with a complaint of a syncopal episode. The patient received a full
medical evaluation, which included a 12-lead electrocardiogram (EKG), blood glucose
check, intravenous therapy, oxygen, and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for
further treatment.
Thursday, August 7
At 8:33 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident
in the 400 block of East Huntington Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 6-year-
old male with a complaint of seizure after a fall. The patient received a full medical
evaluation, which included an EKG, blood glucose check, and was transported to USC
Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Friday, August 8
Arcadia Fire Department Fireline EMT1 and Engine 1613

were assigned to a 24-hour shift at the Gifford Fire in Santa Maria. During the operational period, Arcadia Fireline EMT treated multiple patients, while Engine 1613 was attached to a task force to assist with mop-up operations and provide support during firing operations.
Saturday, August 9
At 8:34 a.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106 responded to a report
of an auto versus pedestrian incident at the intersection of Santa Anita Avenue and
Camino Real Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 60-year-old cyclist who had
collided with a vehicle and sustained multi-system traumatic injuries. The patient
received a full medical and trauma evaluation and was transported to Huntington
Hospital for further treatment.
