The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the

week of August 24 – 30, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types

recorded for this period:

Sunday, August 24

At 2:25 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106 responded to a

reported traffic collision in the 300 block of West Huntington Drive. Upon arrival, fire

personnel found a two-vehicle traffic collision. Paramedics performed a full medical

assessment on the injured driver and found the patient with a chief complaint of bi-

lateral traumatic hip pain. The patient was transported to Huntington Hospital for

further treatment.


Monday, August 25

At 6:17 p.m., Engine 107 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident

in the 100 block of West Grandview Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 67-

year-old female exhibiting stroke symptoms. The patient received a series of stroke

tests, a 12-lead electrocardiogram (EKG), blood glucose check, intravenous therapy,

and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.


Tuesday, August 26

At 5:54 p.m., Engine 106 responded to a report of a vegetation fire in the 600 block

of West Duarte Road. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a tree stump burning and

smoldering down to the roots. The fire was extinguished with a 1 ½” hose line with

foam and was contained to the area of origin.

Wednesday, August 27

At 10:38 a.m., Engine 106 and Engine 101 responded to a report of a vegetation fire

in the 5000 block of Peck Road. Upon arrival, fire personnel found trees and

vegetation burning approximately 30 feet by 50 feet in size in a known encampment

area. The fire was extinguished with multiple hose lines and was contained to the

area of origin.


Thursday, August 28

At 9:33 a.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a

medical incident in the 1200 block of South Baldwin Avenue. Upon arrival, fire

personnel found a 65-year-old male with a chief complaint of chest pain. The patient

received a full medical evaluation, which included a 12-lead EKG, intravenoustherapy, cardiac medications, and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for

further treatment.


Friday, August 29

At 2:51 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical incident

in the 500 block of Las Tunas Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 25-year-old

female with a complaint of seizure. The patient received a full medical evaluation,

which included a 12-lead EKG, intravenous therapy, blood glucose check, and was

transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.


Saturday, August 30

At 1:07 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical incident

in the 1100 block of West Duarte Road. Upon arrival, fire personnel found an 85-year-

old male exhibiting stroke symptoms. The patient received a series of stroke tests, a

12-lead EKG, blood glucose check, intravenous therapy, and was transported to USC

Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
