The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the
week of August 10 – 16, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types recorded for this period:

Sunday, August 10
At 7:48 p.m., Engine 105 responded to a reported outdoor fire in the 200 block of Live
Oak Avenue. Fire personnel arrived to find no smoke or fire, but a candle left burning
in the area. The candle was extinguished and removed.
Monday, August 11
At 10:07 a.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to the 100 block of
North First Avenue for a person down. Fire personnel arrived to find a 44-year-old
male suffering from lower leg pain following a fall. The patient received intravenous
therapy, cardiac monitoring, blood glucose testing, medications, and was
transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Tuesday, August 12
At 5:55 a.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident
in the 200 block of North First Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 35-year-
old male with a complaint of dizziness with hypotension. The patient received a full
medical evaluation, which included a 12-lead electrocardiogram (EKG), intravenous
therapy, and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Wednesday, August 13
At 1:18 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident
in the 00 block of Campus Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel found an 87-year-old
female exhibiting stroke symptoms. The patient received a series of stroke tests, a
12-lead EKG, a blood glucose reading, intravenous therapy, and was transported to
USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Thursday, August 14
At 8:47 a.m., Engine 106 and Truck 105 responded to a stalled elevator between the
third and fourth floors in the 600 block of West Duarte Road. Fire personnel reset the
system, lowered the car to the first floor, and used an elevator pick to open the door.
All occupants were safely removed with no injuries reported. The elevator was placed
out-of-service.
Friday, August 15
At 5:18 a.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical incident
in the 700 block of Arcadia Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel encountered a 40-
year-old female complaining of cardiac dysrhythmia and chest pain. The patient
received a comprehensive medical assessment, which included a 12-lead EKG,
intravenous therapy, and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further
treatment.Saturday, August 16
At 2:50 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to the 2400 block of
South Baldwin Avenue for an unresponsive child. Fire personnel arrived to find a 3-
year-old female experiencing a seizure. The patient received intravenous therapy,
cardiac monitoring, blood glucose testing, medications, and was transported to USC
Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
